I just found out about this event a couple of hours ago. Here's an excerpt and a link.
Welcome to Ten Thousand Ways!
Ten Thousand Ways seeks to organize gatherings where tribal-minded people from up and down the Pacific Coast come together to share ideas, make plans, and network. Many of us have read the books of Daniel Quinn (Ishmael, Story of B, My Ishmael), studied deep ecology and animism or feel a strong tie to the land around us. However, coming to our event requires none of this; just arrive with an open mind!
The first Ten Thousand Ways gathering begins just outside Ashland, Oregon at noon Friday, August 11th and finishes at noon Monday, August 14th, 2006. We reserved a group camping site at Emigrant Lake for the gathering, so don't forget your sleeping bag!
Go to the Ten Thousand Ways website for details.
I'm working at juggling my schedule to attend.
