Speaking of Richard's advice to pick up some practical skills for post Peak Oil life, the same friend mentioned in that post met these fellow Canucks on his XMAS vacation in Mexico. They travel around Mexico, building cob houses, in a truck fueled by canola oil. It looks like they are enjoying life. Enjoy the pictures.
