After reading M. King Hubbert's thoughts on the need for a new type of currency system post Peak Oil, I have begun collecting books and online resources on the subject. I first took an interest in this back around 1990 after returning to university to take a few courses in CED (Community Economic Development). I just came across this list:
What's Money got to do with it? was a chapter in Sustainable Planet edited by Betsy Taylor and Juliet Schor. http://www.newroadmap.org/vrimagine.asp is a short future fiction story published in Imagine edited by Marianne Williamson.
Also, Your Money or Your Life, teaches people to balance their dependancy on the national currency and complementary currency - and use 'money' only for what money can actually buy. You can find out more at www.yourmoneyoryourlife.org .
Tom Greco's, Money; Understanding and Creating Alternatives to Legal Tender. That one you'd have to buy. Intro by Vicki Robin.
The Simplicity Forum www.simplicityforum.org with a focus on the authors, activists, artists, educators leading the simplicity/frugality/sustainable consumption movement.
